| First Class Accommodation for Miners |
|
The main aim was to design a modern and comfortable yet tough cabin, for the harsh mining environment. The feed back High Tide Constructions had received from employers, was that it has become unacceptable to house workers in modified shipping containers or small site huts with low natural light and ventilation. The cabin was built to withstand the QLD heat, by insulating all surfaces including the floor. The external colouring was chosen for its ability to reflect heat and the windows are hung long, narrow and high on the walls, to allow less glass surface to heat up whilst also maintaining good light and air flow, throughout the cabin. The base, columns and roof structure are fully welded, to provide a strong structural frame that can withstand extreme wind loads. The cabins interior is made to be functional yet hard wearing. The bathroom features a shower, toilet, vanity, laundry facilities and hot water service. The kitchen has a four burner hotplate and sink housed in a laminex bench top with draws, cupboard space and an overhead pantry. The living area has ample space for entertainment equipment and the whole cabinis heated and cooled, by a split system air conditioner. The bedroom is flooded by natural light with large sliding windows; air flow is a great feature of this design. Transportation of the cabin is easy; it is designed to fit on a standard drop deck trailer and being 3.5 metres wide, it won't need permits and pilots to be transported. High Tide Constructions can freight cabins Australia wide. High Tide Constructions can design a cabin to your requirements or change the configuration to meet your needs.
